Frequently asked
Frequently asked
From choosing a course to working together internationally — the questions that matter, answered from public records.
060How is a lash lift competition scored?
The score sheet is set by the organising body and differs between events, but the recurring criteria are similar: symmetry between the two eyes, consistency of the lift angle, even separation and alignment, direction from root to tip, the health and integrity of the lash itself, the cleanliness of the finished work, and compliance with the rules and time limit of that category. Judges score item by item at close range rather than on overall impression. The fastest way to understand a given event is to read the published criteria and deductions for that edition.

061What is the difference between a beginner course and competition training?
A beginner course is about delivering consistently to a different client every day: building an order of judgment, controlling risk, keeping failure inside a predictable range. Competition training is about taking the same work to its limit in front of a score sheet: model selection, time allocation, how details hold up under close inspection, and preventing each specific deduction. Both rest on the same technical base, but the target differs. Competition training does not replace fundamentals, and normally assumes the everyday work is already stable.

018How does Competition Training prepare you for an international lash competition?
The course takes the scoring criteria apart and works through what the detail requirements actually demand, then builds competition-level finish through live model work, set inspection and competition experience. Before the course begins the team confirms model arrangements, how many sets you will complete, how work is reviewed, and whether the rules of your target competition match.
042How far ahead should I start preparing for a competition?
There is no single answer. The team works backwards from the rules of your target competition, the category, the submission or on-site date, your current foundation and the model arrangements. The earlier you provide the rules and unretouched photographs of your work, the more of the preparation time can go into the areas most likely to lose you points.
040Does taking Wendy's course guarantee a win or higher income?
The course can give you method, scoring criteria, practice and feedback, but competition outcomes, how quickly your technique improves and what you earn still depend on practice, model conditions, the competition format, the judging panel, your own execution and your market. We publish results that can be checked, and we do not promise wins or clients.
027How many hours is each course?
Hours differ by course. Lash Foundation & Correction runs about 7 hours for the first course and about 3–4 hours as a refresher; Japanese Tabajuku about 6–7 hours; Competition Training about 6–7 hours first time and about 3–4 hours as a refresher; two-hand lash enhancement about 4–5 hours; the hair theory seminar about 6–7 hours; the online course depends on your own pace. The hours and schedule that apply are those in the current course details and in your enrolment confirmation.

028Are models, materials or equipment provided?
Whether models, consumables, tools, equipment use or a materials kit are included depends on the course and on how it is hosted. Before payment the team sets this out as a list in three parts — included, bring your own, and available to buy on site. For overseas courses, restrictions on what you may carry or import are explained as well.
